ONDC Seller Onboarding

From one storefront to every buyer app on ONDC.

ONDC — the Open Network for Digital Commerce — is India's open e-commerce network, backed by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. One seller-side setup lets your catalog show up across the buyer apps connected to it, instead of building a separate integration for every marketplace. This engagement is that setup: SNP account and KYC, catalog mapped to ONDC's schema, a tested integration, and a go-live checklist. ₹25,000 + GST one-time, 2–3 weeks.

The transformation

From one storefront to every buyer app on ONDC.

Before

Selling only through your own store, or store plus one or two marketplaces — invisible to any buyer shopping through an ONDC-connected app.

After

Your existing catalog mapped, tested, and live across ONDC buyer apps — one more distribution channel, no new storefront to build or maintain.

We don't have an ONDC-specific number to quote yet — this is a new engagement. What we do have: 200+ Indian D2C brands and ₹385Cr+ in revenue moved through stores we've built and run. Same team, same standard, one more channel.

What's included

Your catalog stays the same. The network gets wider.

Six things the ₹25,000 ships — on the catalog you already run, without touching your existing storefront.

  • Seller Network Participant (SNP) account + KYC

Your business registered as a Seller Network Participant on ONDC, with KYC completed — the same paperwork gate every ONDC seller clears once.

  • Catalog mapped to ONDC's schema

Your existing product catalog — categories, attributes, pricing, inventory — mapped to ONDC's catalog schema. We work from what you already sell, not a rebuild.

  • Integration + test orders

The integration wired and proven with real test orders placed through a connected buyer app, before anything goes live to real customers.

  • Go-live checklist + visibility confirmation

A checklist run before cutover, then confirmation that your catalog is actually discoverable and orderable on a live ONDC buyer app.

  • Packaging + labelling compliance check

ONDC has its own listing compliance requirements, much like any marketplace onboarding — we check your packaging and labels against them before go-live.

  • One more channel, no new storefront

This connects the catalog you already run — it doesn't build a new store. Your existing store stays exactly as it is.

Timeline

Straight answer

When you should not buy this.

If your product catalog isn't stable yet — SKUs or pricing still changing weekly — or you can't yet fulfil orders from a second sales channel without operational strain, don't. ONDC onboarding will just add another channel to manage badly. Get catalog and fulfilment stable on your primary channel first; ONDC will still be there when you're ready.

And this engagement connects your catalog — it doesn't fix the delivery side. If failed deliveries and RTO are the real bottleneck, sort that first.

Process

How the 2–3 weeks run — milestone by milestone.

Complete transparency. Six milestones from fit check to go-live, each with what we ship and what you receive.

  • Milestone 01Before kickoff

Fit Check + Catalog Readiness Review

A short call to confirm ONDC is worth setting up right now — before any invoice goes out.

    • We check the one thing that decides everything else: is your catalog stable, or are SKUs and pricing still moving weekly? Unstable catalogs make onboarding a moving target.
    • We also check you can fulfil orders from a second sales channel without strain — ONDC adds a channel, it doesn't add fulfilment capacity.
    • A first pass on your packaging and labels against ONDC's listing compliance requirements, so surprises show up here, not at go-live.

    You'll receive

    • Straight fit verdict on the call
    • Catalog readiness notes
    • Packaging/labelling compliance first pass
  • Milestone 02Week 1

    SNP Account + KYC

Your business registered as a Seller Network Participant on ONDC, with KYC cleared — the paperwork gate every ONDC seller goes through once.

    • SNP account created and linked to your business's GST and KYC documents.
    • This runs in parallel with catalog mapping wherever the network allows it, so it doesn't add its own week to the timeline.

    You'll receive

    • SNP account live
    • KYC cleared
  • Milestone 03Week 1–2

    Catalog Build + Schema Mapping

Your existing product catalog — categories, attributes, pricing, inventory — mapped to ONDC's catalog schema.

    • We work from the catalog you already run. This is a mapping exercise, not a rebuild — your product data, reshaped to fit ONDC's schema.
    • Pricing and inventory fields wired so what's in stock on your store is what shows as in stock on ONDC.

    You'll receive

    • Catalog mapped to ONDC schema
    • Pricing + inventory fields wired
  • Milestone 04Week 2

    Integration + Test Orders

The integration wired and proven with real test orders placed through a connected buyer app — before anything goes live to real customers.

    • Test orders run end to end: discovery, order placement, and confirmation through an actual ONDC buyer app.
    • Any mismatch between your catalog data and what the buyer app displays gets fixed here, not after launch.

    You'll receive

    • Integration tested end to end
    • Test orders confirmed through a buyer app
  • Milestone 05Week 2–3

    Go-Live + Buyer-App Visibility Check

A checklist run before cutover, then confirmation that your catalog is actually discoverable and orderable on a live ONDC buyer app.

    • Go-live checklist covers catalog completeness, pricing accuracy, and the compliance check from the fit-check stage.
    • We confirm visibility ourselves on a connected buyer app — not just that the integration reports success.

    You'll receive

    • Go-live checklist cleared
    • Buyer-app visibility confirmed
  • Milestone 06

    Out-of-Scope Policy

Any request beyond the fixed written scope is out-of-scope work — handled transparently, never silently billed.

    • Ongoing catalog and order management is a separate, optional ₹10,000/month retainer — quoted after go-live, never bundled in without your sign-off.
    • Logistics and fulfilment stay with your existing shipping setup — this engagement connects your catalog, it doesn't run your deliveries.
    • Smaller extras are tracked in the Growww Tech client portal and billed only with your approval.

    You'll receive

    • Transparent time tracking via portal
    • Prior intimation before any additional billing
Scope boundaries

What we need from you. What we don't do.

No surprises post-kickoff. Here is the assumption boundary on both sides.

What we need from you

  • A stable product catalog — SKUs and pricing not still changing weekly
  • Export access to your current catalog (categories, attributes, pricing, inventory)
  • GST and business KYC documents for the SNP registration
  • Confirmation you can fulfil orders from a second sales channel without strain
  • Packaging and labels ready for a compliance check, or the will to adjust them
  • A decision-maker available for the go-live sign-off

What's not included

  • The ₹10,000/month catalog & order management retainer — separate, optional, quoted after go-live
  • A new storefront — this connects your existing catalog, it doesn't build one
  • Logistics and fulfilment — that stays with your existing shipping and warehouse setup
  • ERP or inventory system setup — scoped and priced separately
  • Copywriting and product photography for new listings — bring your existing product content
FAQ

Asked before every ONDC onboarding.

ONDC — the Open Network for Digital Commerce — is India's open e-commerce network, backed by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. Instead of building a separate integration for every marketplace, one seller-side setup lets your catalog show up across the buyer apps connected to the network. One wire into a shared network, instead of a different wire for every app.

The full seller-side ONDC setup: a Seller Network Participant account and KYC, your catalog mapped to ONDC's schema, integration tested with real orders through a connected buyer app, a go-live checklist, and a packaging/labelling compliance check. Fixed price, one-time, 2–3 weeks.

Keeping the ONDC catalog in sync with your main store, handling ONDC-side order flow day to day, and a monthly report. Most sellers don't need it from day one — add it once order volume through ONDC actually justifies the ongoing work. We'll say so plainly on the fit call.

2–3 weeks from the fit check to going live, assuming your catalog is stable and your KYC documents are ready. SNP registration and catalog mapping run in parallel wherever the network allows it.

Those are single marketplaces — one integration lists you on one app. ONDC is a network: one seller-side setup, and your catalog can show up across every buyer app connected to it. The onboarding mechanics — KYC, catalog mapping, a compliance check — look similar to any marketplace setup. The difference is which side of the network you're plugging into.

If your product catalog isn't stable yet — SKUs or pricing still changing weekly — or you can't fulfil orders from a second sales channel without strain, hold off. ONDC onboarding just adds another channel to manage badly at that point. Get your primary channel stable first; ONDC will still be there when you're ready.

Single invoice via Zoho Billing (UPI, cards, netbanking, EMI) — the GST invoice lands in your inbox the moment payment clears. Onboarding starts within one business day of the fit check.
