Enterprise Ecommerce Development

From a theme at its ceiling to an enterprise storefront you own.

A standard Shopify theme is a Maruti Swift — perfect until the freight outgrows it. Past ₹2Cr/month, the theme caps your design, your speed, and what you can build. This bundle rebuilds the front as a headless Next.js storefront on a backend you choose — with store development, phone-first UI/UX design, and a 344-point CRO pass folded in. ₹5,00,000 + GST, 4–6 months, full code ownership.

4.9 Google rating200+ Indian D2C brandsFixed scope · 3 backend options
The transformation

From three vendors and three excuses to one team that ships every layer.

Before

A theme guy, an apps guy, and a 'CRO guy' who each blame the others while your rebuild stalls in the gaps between them.

After

One team ships the store, the design, the headless speed and the funnel together — one timeline, one scope, one number to call when something breaks.

Bought as four separate engagements those parts run about ₹6,75,000; as one integrated build the bundle is ₹5,00,000 — the overlap you don't pay for twice. And the 0.1-second speed gain Google and Deloitte tie to +8.4% conversion is built into the storefront, not bolted on after.

What's in the bundle

Four engagements. One build, one team.

Each of these is a real engagement with its own page and its own price. In the bundle, you pay ₹1,00,000 over the standalone headless build — and the store development, the design, and the CRO pass (≈₹2,75,000 bought separately) are folded in, because one team doing one build doesn't bill the overlap twice.

  • Headless Next.js Build

    Sold separately: ₹4,00,000

A Next.js storefront you own, on Shopify headless, Medusa.js, or Vendure — no theme ceiling, built for Diwali-day traffic. Plus the backend setup the standalone build assumes you already have.

  • Store Development

The ceilings

You're not failing — the theme is full.

Five ceilings high-volume stores hit on a standard theme. If two or more read like your week, the bundle is built for you.

  • Fast on the demo, slow on the sale

Theme apps stack up, mobile load creeps past 3 seconds, and a slow store quietly leaks conversion — exactly when a sale sends traffic up.

  • The theme caps your design

You've hit the ceiling of what Liquid templates allow. Every custom interaction becomes a fight against the platform.

  • Big sale days take the store down

Diwali or a flash sale sends traffic up 10x and the storefront buckles. You're paying for ads that land on a spinning loader.

  • SEO throttled by the theme

You can't control rendering, metadata, or Core Web Vitals tightly enough to rank for the terms that matter at your scale.

  • Welded to one platform's roadmap

Backend, frontend, and checkout are one welded unit. You can't swap the storefront without a migration, or leave without rebuilding everything.

Backend choice

Three backends. We recommend the fit, not the favourite.

The storefront is the same headless Next.js build in all three cases — the backend decides who runs the engine, what checkout you get, and what the monthly bill looks like.

  • Shopify headless

You're on Shopify, want zero backend ops, and keep Shopify's checkout. The Storefront API works on standard plans — Plus only for deep checkout work.

  • Medusa.js

Open-source, MIT, self-hosted. You own the whole stack and skip platform fees — the licence is free; the running isn't. We put the real monthly number in front of you first.

  • Vendure

TypeScript, B2B-strong. Pick it when approval chains, organisation hierarchy, advanced pricing, or SSO is the centre of the project.

Timeline

Fit check to cutover — 4–6 months.

Design, build, and CRO tracks run in parallel — that's why four engagements fit in one schedule. We've never missed a timeline.

Straight answer

When you should not buy this.

Below roughly ₹2Cr/month in revenue, the full bundle is usually more than you need. A standalone headless build (₹4,00,000), or a store revamp with a ₹75,000 CRO pass, returns more at that stage than the full rebuild.

The bundle earns its ₹5,00,000 when the ceiling is measurable: mobile loads past 3 seconds on sale days, a design the theme editor can't express, or a storefront that buckles exactly when Diwali traffic arrives. The fit-check call exists to say this to your face — under the line, we'll point you to the smaller builds.

Process

How the 4–6 months run — milestone by milestone.

Complete transparency. Eight milestones from fit check to handover, each with what we ship and what you receive. Design, build, and CRO tracks run in parallel — that's why the schedule compresses.

  • Milestone 01Week 1

    Fit Check — Honestly

A 30-minute call to confirm headless is right for you — before any money moves.

    • Under roughly ₹2Cr/month, the full bundle is usually more than you need — we'll point you to the standalone headless build or a revamp. It earns its keep at ₹2Cr+/month, when store, design, speed and funnel all need rebuilding at once.
    • If the fit is right, you get access to our client portal at portal.growwwtech.com for feedback, approvals, and progress tracking.
    • We audit your current store: where the theme is capping design, speed, or SEO — with numbers, not opinions.

    You'll receive

    • Straight fit verdict on the call
    • Client portal access
    • Current-store audit notes
  • Milestone 02Week 1–2

    Pick the Backend

Shopify headless, Medusa.js, or Vendure — chosen against your scale and ops capacity, not the one we'd rather build.

    • Shopify headless if you're already on Shopify and want zero backend ops — you keep Shopify's checkout.
    • Medusa.js (MIT, self-hosted) if you want to own the whole stack and skip platform fees — with the real monthly hosting number in front of you first.
    • Vendure if enterprise B2B — approval chains, organisation hierarchy, advanced pricing — is the centre of the project.

    You'll receive

    • Backend recommendation with reasoning
    • Real monthly running-cost comparison
  • Milestone 03Weeks 2–4

    Architecture + Scope

We map the storefront, the API surface, the render strategy, payments, and integrations — then the scope is fixed in writing.

    • Per-page render strategy: static, server-rendered, or ISR — decided by how often the content changes, not by default.
    • India payments mapped in from the start: Razorpay / PhonePe / Easebuzz / Cashfree Payments, picked by response rate, with GST-correct invoicing.
    • ERP integration, data migration, and complex B2B logic are scoped separately on top — named in the scope document, never discovered mid-build.

    You'll receive

    • Architecture map
    • Fixed written scope
    • Integration + migration scope (if any) priced separately
  • Milestone 04Weeks 3–10, parallel with backend work

    UI/UX Design Track

The custom storefront design — the same phone-first Figma engagement sold standalone at ₹1,50,000 — runs in parallel with backend setup.

    • Every storefront template drawn phone-first — 90%+ of Indian D2C traffic is mobile; desktop is the adaptation.
    • Structured revision rounds through the portal, with a change log per round.
    • Because the designer and the engineers are one team, the files are drawn on real component constraints — the build matches the Figma.

    You'll receive

    • Phone-first Figma designs for the storefront
    • Structured revision rounds
    • Design system your team keeps
  • Milestone 05Months 2–5

    Build in Sprints

The Next.js storefront and the backend track run in parallel — 2-week sprints, weekly demos on a staging URL.

    • You watch the store take shape on staging every week — no six-month silence, no big reveal.
    • Storefront talks to the backend over GraphQL; either side can be swapped later without rebuilding the other.
    • Store development — catalog, collections, shipping, GST setup — happens here, folded into the bundle instead of billed as the separate ₹50,000 engagement.

    You'll receive

    • Weekly staging demos
    • Next.js storefront (SSR / static / ISR)
    • Backend configured on your chosen platform
  • Milestone 06Final month, pre-launch

    CRO Pass Before Launch

The same 344-point CRO framework sold standalone at ₹75,000 — applied while the store is still on staging, when fixes are cheapest.

    • Checkout, cart, product and landing checks implemented, not reported — a new storefront that repeats the old funnel leaks is wasted architecture.
    • COD-RTO and UPI-first calibration built into the funnel from day one, not patched after the first bad month.

    You'll receive

    • CRO pass implemented on staging
    • Before/after summary of what changed
  • Milestone 07Final month

    Performance + SEO Pass

Core Web Vitals green, metadata and schema wired, and every old URL mapped so you keep your search equity through the cutover.

    • Google's bar for a good LCP is 2.5 seconds — we build to beat it. Speed comes from how it's built, not the architecture alone.
    • 301 redirects mapped for every legacy URL; metadata and structured data emitted from the storefront you own.

    You'll receive

    • Core Web Vitals report
    • Redirect map + schema wiring
  • Milestone 08Month 4–6

    Launch + Handover

Cut over with no downtime — rewiring the building with the lights on. Then everything is handed over.

    • Zero-downtime cutover, monitored through the first sale days.
    • Complete source code, the deployment project, and documentation — full ownership, no lock-in, no AMC.
    • Swap the frontend or move the backend later without rebuilding everything — that's the point of going composable.

    You'll receive

    • Zero-downtime launch
    • Full code + deployment handover
    • Documentation written for your team
Scope boundaries

What we need from you. What we don't do.

No surprises post-kickoff. Here is the assumption boundary on both sides.

What we need from you

  • A decision-maker on the weekly demo call — parallel tracks stall without one
  • Logo and brand assets — identity creation is a separate service
  • Product photography — we design and build with your real products
  • Access to your current store, analytics, and Search Console for the audit and redirect map
  • Catalog data, or access to wherever it lives today (Shopify, ERP, spreadsheets)
  • Consolidated design feedback within 3 working days per revision round

What's not included

  • ERP integration, data migration, and complex B2B logic — scoped and priced separately on top, named in the scope document before kickoff
  • A self-built checkout on Shopify headless — Shopify's hosted checkout stays (brandable, deeply on Plus). Medusa.js or Vendure if you must own the flow
  • Copywriting — product descriptions and page copy
  • Product photography and video
  • Logo and brand-identity design — that's Brand Foundations, priced separately
  • Backend hosting and platform fees — servers, database, Shopify subscription, gateway charges are billed to you directly
  • Performance marketing and ad management — separate retainer
The upgrade ladder

One team, every rung. Buy the one your money is leaking from.

Every rung pulls more orders out of traffic you already pay for. You don't climb it in order — you start where the leak is. Here's the honest map.

Growww Tech service upgrade ladder — price, who each rung is for, and what it changes.
UpgradePriceBest whenWhat changes
Shopify Store₹50,000+ GSTYou're selling in DMs or on a stock template — your first real store.Off the DMs onto a store on our own theme — payments, shipping, GST, live in 4 weeks.
CRO Pass₹75,000+ GSTYou already have traffic, but it leaks at the cart and the checkout.344 checks implemented on your live store — plug the ~70% cart-abandon and COD-RTO leaks. More orders from the same ad spend.
UI/UX Design₹1,50,000+ GSTThe store works but looks like everyone's template — you want a custom, phone-first design. All 15 store templates drawn phone-first for your brand, with a design system your team keeps. Design only — the build is separate.
Headless Next.js₹4,00,000+ GSTRoughly ₹50L+/month and the theme is capping your speed, design, or SEO.A storefront you own, built to beat Google's 2.5s LCP bar — where a 0.1s speed gain is tied to +8.4% conversion.
Enterprise BundleYou’re here₹5,00,000+ GST₹2Cr+/month, and you want store, design, speed and funnel rebuilt together — one team.Headless + store + UI/UX + CRO folded in — about ₹6,75,000 of work for ₹5,00,000.
Mobile App₹4,00,000+ GSTRoughly 1000+ orders/month and buyers who reorder inside 90 days.An owned home-screen channel — reach repeat buyers by push instead of re-buying the ad. Repeat orders up, re-acquisition spend down.

Our recommendation: plug the leak before you widen the pipe. A CRO pass earns its fee on traffic you already have; headless and an app pay off only once speed or repeat-rate is the actual ceiling. If a cheaper rung returns more for you right now, we’ll say so on the call rather than sell you the bigger number.

FAQ

Asked before every headless build.

The full bundle: a headless Next.js storefront on your choice of backend (Shopify headless, Medusa.js, or Vendure), complete store development (catalog, payments, shipping, GST setup), custom phone-first UI/UX design for the storefront, a 344-point CRO pass implemented before launch, Core Web Vitals and SEO work, deployment with CI/CD, and full code ownership on handover. Bought as separate engagements, those parts run about ₹6,75,000.

Because it's one team and one build, not four engagements stitched together. The designer draws on the components the engineers ship, the CRO pass runs on staging instead of a live store, and nothing is re-learned between vendors. The overlap we don't pay for twice is the discount you get. The trade: it's one scope, one timeline — not four projects you can reorder. If you only need the frontend, the ₹4,00,000 standalone build exists for exactly that.

It splits your store in two: a frontend you fully own — a Next.js app — and a commerce backend that runs catalog, cart, orders, and payments behind an API. The two talk over GraphQL, so you can rebuild the storefront without touching the engine, and swap or upgrade either side on its own.

Shopify headless if you're already on Shopify and want speed with no backend ops (you keep Shopify's checkout). Medusa.js — open-source, MIT, self-hosted — if you want to own the whole stack and skip platform fees, and you have or will hire Node + DevOps capacity. Vendure if enterprise B2B (approval chains, organisation hierarchy, advanced pricing, SSO) is the centre of the project. We recommend the fit on the first call, not the one we'd rather build.

No. The Storefront API works on standard Shopify plans. But the checkout customisation and advanced B2B that ₹50L+/month brands usually want are Plus-only — so brands often end up on Plus for those features, not for headless itself.

On Shopify headless, no — you build up to the cart, then hand off to Shopify's hosted checkout (you can brand it, deeply on Plus, but not replace it). If a self-built checkout is essential, that points you to Medusa.js or Vendure, where you own the flow end to end.

Three things, and they're named in the scope document before kickoff, never discovered mid-build: ERP integration, data migration from a legacy platform, and complex B2B logic. On a real enterprise rebuild those are often most of the work — we run the architecture phase first precisely so the number in front of you holds.

A well-built headless store is fast, and faster stores do convert better — but speed comes from how the frontend is built, not the architecture by itself, and we won't promise you a specific conversion number. We build to beat Google's bar for a good Core Web Vitals score, and the CRO pass works the funnel itself. The honest claim is a fast, controllable storefront with a surgically-checked funnel — not a magic figure.

Below roughly ₹2Cr/month in revenue, the full bundle is usually more than you need. A standalone headless build (₹4,00,000), or a store revamp with the ₹75,000 CRO pass, returns more at that stage. The bundle earns its keep at ₹2Cr+/month, when store, design, speed and funnel all need rebuilding together — and we'll tell you that on the fit-check call.
