D2C Hiring Guide 2027 — Roles, Salaries, Talent

What Changed in 2027
I’ve watched the D2C hiring map shift this year. Here’s what changed:
- AI roles arrived — I need people who can run the AI tools, not just another traditional marketer
- Quick commerce needs its own person — I’ve seen Blinkit/Zepto at scale become a full-time job, not a side task
- Remote is the default now — every D2C role except warehouse and operations can sit remote, expanding your talent pool beyond your city
- The freelancer bench got real — on my team, freelancers on Upwork/Toptal now handle jobs like ad creative and email flows

Where to Find Talent
- LinkedIn — best for experienced hires. I always say: post the outcomes you expect, not a vague job description.
- D2C WhatsApp/Telegram groups — most D2C community groups run job boards. I’ve hired off these myself for people who know the space.
- Internshala — best for interns and freshers. Good for customer support and content roles on my team too.
- Your own Instagram — I post openings on my own brand page. Followers who already love the brand make the best hires.
- Referrals — still the #1 source of good hires. Put a ₹5-10K referral bonus in front of your team.
